Go there if you want to die. A bunch of idiots. Seriously.

Met with Dr. Keith Hanson. Breast screening exam was not done properly at my last appointment. During the exam, the doctor missed checking lymph node area bilaterally and did not use gloves. I have a history of cancer in my family and missing that area is irresponsible. My physician got angry when I stated exam(s) not done properly nor do they obtain current medical history properly or ask for updates. I feel it was very rude of Hanson considering I've been doing that exam myself for years and have been under the care of other doctors over the years, many of them being specialists. I feel staff here need to be more forthcoming with patients about patient education and safety, and/or refer patients, if necessary to a higher level of care. After a Google search. I found this facility has a history of sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, and intimidation, etc., of some of it's employees and patients which I was unaware. I will be going elsewhere for my care. Nursing staff don't have charts "in hand" when making return calls to patients and are unable to answer questions regarding prescriptions in a timely manner. Physicians do not always ask for an updated medical history when applicable. When I came in for my mammogram report 2-3 weeks later, I found my clinic visit documentation incomplete, not authenticated by my physician. When I mentioned this to medical records staff, they wanted me to do their job and talk to the doctor about getting it finalized. I finally received the authenticated clinic note and mammogram report more than 30 days after the initial clinic visit.

Do your research, keep a copy of your medical record, question your doctor, your treatment(s), get a referral or refuse treatment if necessary, and know that you can question the content of your medical records--you have that right under HIPPA act of 1997.
